News on Stainforth Towns Fund Engagement

Some fantastic comments and suggestions are being made about the project ideas, which will all be read and will be used to guide the further evolution of these ideas to improve Stainforth. We've provided a few of these below but in the meantime please share this opportunity with as many of your friends and family as possible

Station gateway - We would use the station if it was more accessible and safer. At the moment the access to the station and the station itself is too scary to use

Town centre hub - Although the idea to improve on the shopping area sounds good , it will still not stop littering and damage caused by undesirables and speeding cars. A camera surveillance system would be a good idea to protect the idea

Activated network - a new link Road is a good idea but all the roads around the area need upgrading and improving

The head stocks are part of Stainforth history and these iconic structures should be restored and incorporated into the country park , not in an isolated position but as part of the entrance with a visitor centre, a mining museum, digital mining experience, and small artisan workshops
